A restored film presented at the Lumière Festival
Vectracom was honoured to see one of its restoration projects presented at the opening of the Lumière 2024 Festival. The film, “Un revenant” by Christian-Jaque, is an iconic work of French cinema.
A meticulous restoration
“Un revenant”, shot in Lyon in 1946, needed complete restoration to its original splendour. Vectracom has used its technical expertise to preserve this work, highlighting Louis Jouvet’s performances and Henri Jeanson’s dialogue.
A celebration of film heritage
The screening of this film at the Lumière Festival underlines the importance of preserving and disseminating film heritage. This project will give new life to a work that has not been seen on the big screen for several decades.
Vectracom continues to play a central role in the preservation of old films. By restoring “Un revenant”, the company is helping to pass on this cultural heritage to future generations.
