Restoring the epic of the Round the World Race
Vectracom has restored the documentary “Around the world in 20 days”. This film, a unique testimony to the exploits of Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones, needed to be restored to preserve its content after 25 years of inadequate conservation.
A document worth saving
The standard definition images and the ageing of the support were threatening the survival of this work. The Swiss foundation Espace Ballon called on Vectracom to restore this emblematic film, capturing the extraordinary balloon journey that made history.
A specific technical challenge
