Since the 1970’s, the Montreux jazz festivals have been recorded in the best possible quality. This priceless heritage must not be lost, and this is where Vectracom comes in. The contract signed between the teams will enable these numerous media to be digitized in the best possible quality.
This project, which began in 2009, involved processing each digitization separately to ensure optimum quality. New systems were developed for digitizing and transferring original audio multitrack. This project was the most demanding but above all the most interesting ever undertaken by Vectracom.
Now that the entire archive has been digitized, its contents can be purchased on CD or DVD, or viewed in Montreux Jazz Cafés in cities such as London, Geneva and Abu Dhabi.
